I wanted to initially produce a black acetate cover with the design kept clear so the stock would show up and fill it. BUT i then realised that acetate prints streaky and inconsistant when trying to print like this. I figured with more expensive high qaulity prints i could achieve my goal and get a good print finish but i decided not to take the risk and produced coloured designs on positive print.
This print tests colour ranges, thin lines and how clear they came out, dark black area's and tonal values. all in one!
Tonal values came out fine, the black area's seemed fairly patchy the larger the design especially the darker the colour.
overlaying my acetate sheets. This technique can be recreated by printing the stock as the first print and then placing a negative over it.
