Heres a list of some of the worst prisons i could find in the world, good place to start to find some imagery for them.

• ADX Florence SuperMax Facility, Colorado
• No privileges like telephone, visitors, lack of sunlight (Worst criminals in america) nicknamed "A clean version of Hell"

• Guantanamo Bay, Cuba
• USA war Camp, a lot of torture

• Bang Kwang Prison, Thailand
• Leg irons wielded on, lack of food (1 meal a day)

• Fortaleza de San Carlos de la Cabana, Cuba
• You loose your human rights when you set foot in this prison. enough said.

• Drapchi Prison, Tibet
• Constant beatings and tortures, prisoners are taught communism and if they resist they are beaten and tortured...

• La Sabaneta Prison, Venezuela
• Disease, violence and massacres. Prisoners are not allowed activities so they fight each other and prisoners are killed on a daily basis.

• Diyarbaker Prison, Turkey
• Severe torture, like well bad.

• Tadmor Prison, Syria
• Guards butcher inmates with axes... described as "Kingdom of death and madness"

• Kwan Li So No. 22, North Korea
• Political Prison. Women, Men, Children and infants serve time in this prison... 

• Gitarama Prison, Rwanda Africa
• Most over crowded prison in the world, 6000 prisoners for a prison build for 500. 

• San Quentin Prison, California

• Rikers Island Prison, New York
• Reputation for cruel treatment of mentally ill prisoners.

• Alcatraz Island Prison, San Francisco 
• "The Rock", "Devil's Island". A lot of prisoners went mentally insane in this prison due to harsh treatment and not being allowed to speak for long periods of time.

• La Sante Prison, France
• High suicides due to conditions, torture, overcrowding, understaffing, violence. 122 self inflicted deaths in 2002.

• Carandiru Prison, Brazil
• more than 1300 deaths in 46 years. Shut down. Aids epidemic swept the facility and 1 in 5 inmates contracted it...
