Logo Redesign

     

The Above logo's are some of my final logo's i had vectored after the 150 logo studio excercise. I decided that i wanted to get a more "sporty" type of logo to which can stand alone better, specifically to be put on packaging and on the product. 

I started to experiment with slanting and making the circle around the frisbee look more 3D. I also give it a edged circle background to give it a more aggressive sport look and to make it look less static.

experimentation with American college style typeface referring back to the origan of ultimate frisbee, i attempted to put the type which spells out "ultimate frisbee" inside the circle and to slant it so it looks like its surrounded by the disc... this wasnt easy and i realised that i had to narrow down the letters going from the bottom up, problem being the F is wider at the top of a letter so it wasnt able to work as i had hoped.

experimenting with different phrases and typefaces to work. it didnt. 

I decided to put my pervously made "frisbee" phrase in the logo which worked far better. I also tried to put a thin line around the phrase like the american college typeface i previously experimented with but it didn't work due to the nature of my hand rendered style typeface.

At this point the logo started to look much more complete and it only needed a bit more tweaking to be able to stand alone.
